It is a program of the Costa Rican Tourism Board which classifies and certifies that a tourism company bases its productive operation on environmental, social and cultural aspects. In this manner, one level represents that a company has carried out a first effort in sustainable matter and five levels represents the maximum recognition that such certification grants.
The objective of this certification is to manage that the Costa Rican tourism sector achieves a real balance between economy, conservation of natural resources and the revaluation of our culture.

In Costa Rica we have bet on ecotourism and nature´s conservation. As a country we work in improving and consolidating each day our protected area system. This system allows thousands of visitors to enjoy the national parks, biological reserves and in general of all the wild areas that the country has the privilege of having. This is a patrimony in which Buena Vista Lodge has proudly contributes to strengthening it through conservation of the forest and ecotourism. We invite you to stay in our hotel and get to know a small country in territory but big in biodiversity and culture.
